Aamir Khan is back after a gap of 2 years in his upcoming movie "Dhobi Ghat " as leading role alongwith Prateik Babbar, Monica Dogra, Kirti Malhotra etc .There are various reasons why Aamir has agreed to star this movie has obvious reasons; Dhobi Ghat will be directed by his wife Kiran Rao (a struggler turned actor, who married Aamir later on). Aamir would never be happy to see his wife selecting any other actor and not the Mr. Perfectionist.

Aamir Khan's Dhobi Ghat movie is all based on a story of 4 people from different backgrounds come together and gets separated by fate. Living in Mumbai, the city creeps into their minds and forces them to live a life which alters its course every now and then. Their life is shown through an amateur video with some black and white photos which has a touch of love, loss, longing and loneliness.

With this unique concept, Aamir and team will try to get the 'Dhobi Ghat' shine once again on big silver screen very soon. Normally the Ghat has been a popular location for our Indian Film directors, but for last few decades we have seen a mild attraction towards this destination. Aamir and team has some how got the permission to shoot at this location after a long gap. Thanks to civic authorities for considering an option to revive the shooting location. For making of Dhobi Ghat, Br. Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to again develop the ghat (currently surrounded by filth, over flowing drains and clumsy old buildings) as a prime shooting location as well as a tourist attraction after the completion of the movie.
